The Emperaror Augusta intruduced Iscehisar to Europe with its natural beauty that turned from soil to marbles. At the Panteon building that is the biggest construction of Roman era, Docimeium marbles have been used. Iscehisar which was known as Docimeium in the Hellenic era, has been established by General Dokimos and it is is a city where Macedonians have been settled. (B.C. 321). As it was semi independent in the Roma era, Bizane coins have been printed in the name of the emparor. During Roman era, the city became the most brillant and populated city. The population reached up to 80.000 that most of them have been sattled at Örenaltı and worked at marble mines. The frequently met artworks, statues, columns in the city center are wtnesses for the cvilization of this city.
